FLYING MIRACLES

Key art for my project Flying Miracles.
It is a world full of adventure, where societies live on floating islands and travel by helium-equivalent airships.

Islands do not float out of their own, there is special equipment in the middle of each - an ancient civilization heritage. At the times of the Great Escape lots of chunks of earth with such a device, usually with piece of architecture build on it, raised to the sky and stayed there.
Since then, only the bravest travel to the world beneath, seeking for useful resources and signs of the past world.
While on island, you must also be careful. Remember not to step too close to the edge.
Everything that is not well connected with the device's chamber by forces of nature (solid rock, tree roots) or engineering (stonework, steel and wooden frames, ropes) basically fall down. That's why there are no small chunks flying around.
